Roseville Is, Indeed, A Great to Retire In
Roseville is a great city. It's full of fun things to do, great places to shop and eat, an excellent choice of reputable medical options, tons of parks and walking trails and so much more! It's also home to FIVE active senior retirement communities, and numerous options for assisted living as well as critical care needs. All of that and more is why Roseville has won numerous awards for great place to live, great place to raise a family AND definitely one of the great places to retire in!

One of the great companies that provide great places to retire in Roseville, and other cities in our area is Eskaton. They operate 30+ communities and programs in Northern California including one of the excellent over 55 communities in Roseville for active boomers and seniors – Silverado Homes at Eskaton Village Roseville CA – also sometimes known as Eskaton Village Roseville CA as well as Silverado Homes Roseville. Whatever name you use, it's lovely! And they have so many excellent aging in place options in the homes, in the lodge, in the clubhouse and on the grounds!
National Fall Prevention and Healthy Aging Awareness Month
This month is National Fall Prevention and Healthy Aging Awareness Month. In honor of that, on Friday, September 30, 2022, Eskaton is offering an all-day summit webinar for boomers and seniors – as well as current or future caregivers – to learn valuable information about how to prevent falls and reduce the risk of injury. This live virtual summit –
Healthy Aging and Fall Prevention – can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home on a computer or smart TV. Having cared for my sweet parents (and overseeing my sweet mother-in-law long distance), I know well how vital that it. Each one of them took several tumbles the last few years of their lives. My mom-in-law is doing well and loving her care facility in her beloved Arkansas and even there, she has had her share of falls.
We all do the best we can to help our loved ones – and to be proactive in our own stability – but accidents do happen. However, there are proactive steps we can take to be safer – and to help our beloveds be safer as well.
Per their flyer, “Over the course of four general sessions, our expert panel of speakers will include a kinesiologist, a senior fitness expert, a technologist, and an occupational therapist who will share with you their holistic and innovative perspective on preventing falls and reducing the risk of injury.”
Here is a list of the classes offered and their descriptions:
- Training the Brain for Better Balance – Friday, September 30th, 9:00am PST
