Sun City Roseville CA Virtual Open House
This beautiful home is located in the retirement golf community Del Webb created back in the 90's in Sun City Roseville California. It's the lovely Country Rose model. That is one of their more popular designs so many of these were built. If you fall in love with this particular plan but can't buy right now, you should easily be able to find the home of your dreams within a month or two when you are ready to buy.* In fact, it's the model I'm most familiar with and I have to say, I really like the design. The kitchen area is on one side of the house and the bedrooms/den on the opposite side.
Front Entry
Walk with me up the driveway of our Virtual Open House-Real Estate party and let's enter the front “courtyard” of this beautiful home.
Such an attractive and easy maintenance front yard! Don't you love the faux river made from river rock?
This is a lovely clean entry way – but it also gives you the option to add flowers or bushes on the right side of the entry, if you'd like.

Entry and Laundry Room
When you enter the home, you are standing in a lovely entryway. To your right is the laundry room with a door on both sides – one to the hallway you are in and the other goes to the garage. The laundry room is a nice size with plenty of room for your washer and dryer along with handy storage for your soaps, dryer aids, cleaners, and more.
Breakfast Nook
When you pass the laundry room to your right, you'll enter the breakfast nook and kitchen. The breakfast nook has a window on one side…
And a large and lovely pantry on the opposite side. Three full rows! It holds a LOT! My grandkids can confirm that! 🙂
Kitchen and Dining Room
Continuing with our Virtual Open House-Real Estate expedition from the breakfast nook, we are now in the kitchen itself. It's a nice layout and easy to work in. My home ec teacher would have highly approved of the layout! And notice the rounded entries for the various entries – those continue throughout this lovely home. Check out the lovely flooring! Also, you'll be happy to see the dishwasher is very handy to the sink!
Don't you love those glass bricks. We first fell in love with them while watching Miami Vice. They are a great way of adding light but maintaining privacy!
The stove is opposite the sink – along with plenty of cupboards and storage in this area as well. By the way, notice that these two photos below face the opposite direction from the two photos above and let you easily see the area for the formal dining room set along with the lovely large window looking into the beautiful back yard.
In this photo, you can see the door that leads out to the back yard. We're going to check that out next on our Virtual Open House-Real Estate tour!
Back Yard
According to Google Maps, this charming home faces North, with the backyard facing South. Happily this home offers you a covered patio along with delightful trees on both sides of the yard.
As in the front yard, you will appreciate the minimal landscaping requirements – very handy, indeed.
Notice that most of the yard is paved. For those of us with young grandkids who might bring a trike or two over, this could be especially nice. 🙂
Living Room / Great Room
After a lovely time strolling in the backyard, let's head back inside and turn to the right to enter the living room area. This is the great room plan to the max and works GREAT! If it's just one or two of you, there's plenty of room for all you need to do but not too much to have to keep clean and maintained. When guests come, whether friends from the boomers group, fellow golfers, or kids and grandkids, it's a terrific setting to visit, chat, enjoy snacks or a full meal and everyone can easily join in the fun.
And if someone needed a bit of peace and quiet, the two bedrooms are both handy for disappearing into, as one of my sweet elderly relatives always did after dinner with the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids visiting. She had a chance to “recharge her batteries” while we continued visiting in the great room. And a great time was enjoyed by all.
If part of the party flows out to the backyard, just open the curtains and windows to chat (or close them if the sports enthusiasts get a bit noisy defending their teams! (Can you tell how things go at my get-togethers. 🙂
Heading to your right out of the living room – make a hard right and visit the large and master bedroom, The two photos below give you different views of this bedroom and as you can see, there is plenty of room for a large bed, dresser, TV, and more.
Master Bedroom – Bathroom – Ensuite
The master bedroom and bathroom form a handy ensuite and when you enter the bathroom, you'll love the high windows that give light and privacy, the walk in shower, and the large, deep, walk-in closet (you can see the entrance for it on the far left of the photo below. Notice the two sinks with cabinets underneath. That is a delightful luxury – many of the Country Rose models only have one sink and cabinet set-up.
Den / Library / Guest Room
Leaving the master bedroom, the next room on the right is the den. It has a cut out “window” without glass and a rounded door entry. It offers plenty of room for a variety of needs including desk, bookshelves and more. Skip the desk and bring in more bookshelves and a comfy chair and you have a delightful library. Or hang a couple of curtains and it makes a handy guest bedroom for family members, young and old. Notice the fan? A very nice touch, indeed!
Second Bathroom
Now it's time to checkout the second bathroom – the guest bathroom, as well as the bathroom for the second bedroom. This is a bathtub, with a low entry, which is much easier for many to enter. And very nice that it has grab bars here as well as in the master bath (you can see one there by the shadow).
Second Bedroom
Last, but definitely not least, here's the second bedroom along with a closet (that is not showing).
This floor plan is a simple design that works very well. I especially appreciate that the middle room bumps out just a tad which gives the two bedrooms a bit of privacy and a noise buffer.
Interesting Activities Abound
This beautiful home is located on a corner lot. And they even provide a comfy park bench nearby to rest and/or people watch, enjoying…
the sweet sights of active golfers and cute critters on the right – like these two cute geese who posed for me so politely
unlike the distant geese (I finally got close enough to figure it out) that I videotaped here:
If, instead, you look on the left, you'll spot the Sun City Lodge, with TWO swimming pools, pickleball, tennis, fitness gym, oodles of fun classes, groups, activities, Timbers at the Lodge Restaurant (I love their French Dip sandwiches!), and their golf pro shop where you can start an 18 hole golf game!
