While working on ads and other marketing for a gorgeous home for sale in Lincoln California (in photo before – just click the pix to see more 😉 ), I wound up also adding more info to my Pinterest board – Lincoln CA Joys.
Oh my, I have had such a lovely time today looking at various videos and photos of cute critters, fun activities, and great homes for Lincoln and I decided to share some of that with you!
Fun Activities And Info for Lincoln CA
As you probably have noticed, I love to brag about all the parks and walking trails in Roseville CA. But I also appreciate all the great parks, nature preserves, and walking / biking trails in other cities within our greater Sacramento metropolitan area, including Lincoln California. Click here to see one fun video to illustrate some of that, and click here to see more fun activities.
As you can see in the videos, there’s plenty more to Lincoln CA than just parks and walking trails. There are thriving businesses and restaurants. Great doctors and medical centers. Terrific resources for boomers and seniors including the lovely Sun City Lincoln at Twelve Bridges, and more. I loved this video of what Kaiser Lincoln has started doing. I’m sure other places are doing this as well but I’d love to see it in every city and state, wouldn’t you?
Lincoln CA was named one of the 50 safest cities in California 2015 by Safewise.com:
“Discover the Charm in Downtown Lincoln as you explore the wonderful places to eat and businesses to shop, explore and experience your favorite part of Lincoln.”
Just like with Roseville, Lincoln California residents enjoy a Food Mob Truck night monthly on the 1st Tuesday of each month. “Fun for the whole family, surrounded by friends, great food, shops and dessert.”
In downtown Lincoln, you’ll also find a variety of restaurants, activities and more including the Lincoln Theater Company, the Lincoln Area Archives Museum, Awful Annie’s Restaurant, Buonarroti’s Ristorante, Double Barrel Smoke House, El Portal Taqueria, Kim’s Country Kitchen, Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop, Bayabelle Boutique, Gypsy Chic Vintage Market, Honey Paperie, Lincoln Florist and Gifts, and the adorably named Fashion Fo Paws, a pet supply store. My granddog gives it a big WOOF. 🙂
Speaking of History
There are several interesting resources available to share Lincoln California’s history:
- Lincoln CA has a varied and fascinating history . I enjoyed reading and watching the various videos at the city’s history page – especially the Fun and Games video. 🙂
- Another interesting history spotlight I discovered was Part 2 of a 3 part series on the Lincoln California airport. While it focused on the airport, it shared other intriguing tidbits as well, including the fact that Lincoln Blvd. hasn’t always had that name!
- Downtown Lincoln also has an interesting article, “A Brief History of Early Lincoln.”
Cute Critters in Lincoln, California
There aren’t just cute dogs in Lincoln. They have all sorts of cute critters including sheep and goats to eat the grass, just like in Roseville and other cities in our areas. Because Lincoln still enjoys plenty of rural joys, there are also cows, horses, and more. And since they all need to be fed, there are some terrific feed and animal supply stores like Sierra Hay & Feed, where they have fun things like Spring Pet Day (Vaccine clinic) and a poultry arrival schedule – how cool is that! Fortunately my grandkids are probably going to adopt some of those types of cute critters down the road. I can get all my cuteness joys from visiting them without having to do the work. Aren’t grandkids GRAND! 🙂
Another type of cuteness, that my grandkids LOVE, is horses and more. And you can enjoy plenty of that in various horse and bull activities including the upcoming Barrel Riding and Bull Riding going on June 17-19 at the California High School Rodeo Grounds in Lincoln thanks to Diamond H Productions. Talk about fun cowboy and cowgirl things to do in the Sacramento Lincoln area! 😉 You can find the flyer and link for it on my Pinterest board – Lincoln CA Joys – along with other interesting things to do and see in Lincoln. 🙂
Speaking of cuteness joys – check out this video of a “sheep stampede” in Lincoln CA. As much fun as watching our cute goats!

The Sacramento Bee covers Lincoln as well – including this fun video of the winning basketball shot. Wait til you see where he was standing when he made the shot!
