Greater Sacramento Area Resources for Sick Days The greater Sacramento metropolitan area, including my sweet city of Roseville CA, is definitely good-sized. It is 24th on the list of the biggest 51 metropolitan areas identified by the US Census Bureau based on the population counted in the 2010 Census. To put it into perspective, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago were first, second, and third. San Francisco was in the middle at 11th, while Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI is 16th.
