Enjoy Safe Senior Living in Roseville CA

Enjoy Safe Senior Living in Roseville CA another view of house front

Silverado Homes at Eskaton Village are such lovely homes with a delightful French flair. They only finished building them around 2015ish so they are still quite new looking in so many ways. I remember visiting them with my sweet senior mom while they were still being built. We considered moving there but the only one available at the time didn't have enough sun for my mom's garden that she loved. Turns out they have a community garden which would probably have worked well for my mom! Years later, when I learned that, I wished I'd found out about it sooner. We ended up in another lovely … Continue reading...

Rekeying Can Be A Great Option for Your New Home

Keys! Such small little things. But they can sure make for big headaches sometimes, can't they? I can't tell you how often I've lost my keys in the past. I've learned to make plenty of spare copies of keys. And check my pants pockets and purse constantly throughout the day to be sure my keys are where they belong. And to make SURE I have those keys BEFORE I lock my car door. Oh yes, through the years, my house keys AND my car keys have made my life a bit more dramatic than I might prefer. When we move in or out of a new home, they can get even more dramatic. I'm a firm believer in having the … Continue reading...

Think Safety Before, During, and After You Move to a New Home – Part 3

Weather - zombies - bad guys - emergency alerts are handy when moving to a new home or state

Alerts When You Move to a New Home Now that we are getting settled into our new home, I've continued to make progress with safety precautions and alerts. As with many other areas, we have an emergency alert option we can sign up for. Once we are signed up, where ever we live, we will get alerts about emergencies and other important community news including severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons, necessary evacuation, and more. I think that is grand, don't you? Especially in this day and age of so many crises, weather emergencies, and more! If you want to see if your … Continue reading...

Think Safety Before, During, and After You Move to a New Home – Part 2

Moving to a new home in a new city - some important safety tips before you move

Whenever we move to a new home, especially in a different city/state, I've done as much research about the area as possible ahead of time. It's a lot easier now with the internet including great moving resource apps like Trulia and Zillow. In this day and age, tech tools of all kinds are such abig help in a move - including safety tools. I've research on police and sheriff websites under the relatively recent "Megan's Law" options to check on the safety of an area we are househunting in. I also check to see if they or another local site has crime statistics listed. Granted, there are no … Continue reading...

Think Safety Before, During, and After You Move to a New Home – Part 1

Think safety when selling or buying a new home or moving

Precaution is better than cure. ~Edward Coke Safety is a cheap and effective insurance policy. ~Author Unknown Safety never takes a holiday. ~Author Unknown Danger never takes a vacation. ~Author Unknown While on a ladder, never step back to admire your work. ~Author Unknown OK, I admit it. The last quote doesn't have much to do with my topic today of safety when you move to a new home - but it did make me laugh and I'm hoping you are chuckling too. The rest of the quotes, all via Quote Garden, DO have something to do with my topic - safety is important even during the moving process. … Continue reading...
