Want to Sell Your Home This Winter?

Kaye Swain Roseville Real Estate Agent sharing Woodcreek Oaks Christmas home Decor

Sell your Home? Wishing you could sell your home? My last post was focused on how many homes sold in West Roseville each month for the last 12 months (see below).   including a deeper dive at two of the many lovely neighborhoods in the 95747 zip code area - Woodcreek Oaks and Sun City Roseville. When to Sell Your Home? As you can see from that post's statistics, escrow closings in the whole 95747 area started slowing down in October and November but perked up for December, then back down in January. Of course, those closings rarely started in the same month. Usually they … Continue reading...

Wondering About Selling Your Home In Winter?

Roseville CA real estate blogger agent Kaye Swain sharing 11 30 15 temperature

Fall to Winter in Roseville-Sacramento As our Roseville Sacramento seasons are preparing for a new change, from fall to winter, are you thinking of selling your home? I am thoroughly enjoying the still-gorgeous colors of many trees in the area, along with the start beauty of those that have given up all their leaves. It's a beautiful time of year wherever you live, but I have to admit, I especially appreciate it here in the Roseville Sacramento area as it's generally a pretty mild winter. Yes, we do get caught complaining about the rain and the frosts that occur! For example, it was 30 … Continue reading...

Real Estate Sales Are Blooming in Winter In Roseville CA

Balmy weather and roses in January are two reasons I love Roseville CA-Kaye Swain REALTOR

It's the middle of winter and most of the country is turning into a ginormous ice cube. No snow for half my grandkids, which has them quite bummed, but they are freezing away nonetheless.  Not so here in Roseville, California - and throughout most of our lovely state. Oh, it is a bit chilly. But as you can see in the rose pix, today's temperature as I write this at 2:47 p.m. on January 11, is a balmy 60 degrees. And that rose picture itself? I shot that at a home I was showing to a real estate client - two days ago. I do love Roseville and its roses! All of this to say, we are not as … Continue reading...

Do I Have Real Estate Options During the Holiday and Winter Season?

It's holiday time! According to all my favorite Christmas carols and hymns, a wonderful and joy-filled time with lovely and cheery home decor abounding. Here in Roseville, California, I have my Christmas tree, two favorite snowmen, and various and sundry teddy bears - stuffed as well as cute figurines from the grandkids - decorating my bookshelf. I didn't use all my Christmas home decor this year but it definitely looks bright and cheerful and my senior mom and granddog both gave their approval. I've also been to my first Christmas party of the year - a neighborhood party full of friends, … Continue reading...

Selling Your Home? Keep Those Utilities On Along with Your Heater Or Air Conditioner!

Warm lap blankets are a big help in the car when transporting elderly seniors AND grandkids.jpg

After writing my last post about buying or selling your home during the winter, I've spotted a few other winter advocates in blogs and on Twitter. Two writers, Jean Richer and  Lenn Harley, each made an especially important point - which is quite applicable for all seasons. They reminded all sellers to make sure to set the heater for a comfy and WARM temperature, at least for showings. After all, if your house is not warm enough prospective buyers will hurry OUT of your house, back to the car where there may be a warm blanket, and on to another home for sale that might be … Continue reading...

In case you are thinking of buying or selling your home or other real estate and wondering if you should wait til spring, I do have some food for thought on that topic.
