Builders and Realtors Agree: Real Estate Is Back After Shelter-In-Place Ends

Builders & Realtors Agree: Real Estate Is Back in spite of shelter-in-place

Shelter-In-Place Real Estate Crisis? When shelter-in-place orders brought the economy to a screeching halt earlier this year, many believed the residential housing market would follow suit. Countless analysts predicted buyer demand would disappear and home values would depreciate for the first time in almost a decade. That, however, didn’t happen. In fact, it appears the opposite is taking place. After the bottom fell out of the real estate market immediately following the shutdown, it has come roaring back – and seems to still be gaining steam. Here’s a look at two recent reports – one … Continue reading...

Is the Health Crisis Driving Buyers Out of Urban Areas?

thinking of leaving the urban life for suburban or rural lifestyle

Many Homebuyers Leaving the Urban Lifestyle. The pandemic has caused consumers to re-examine the components that make up the “perfect home” in an urban area, handy to shopping, entertainment, and more. Many families are no longer comfortable with the locations and layouts of their existing homes. The allure of city life (more congested) seems to be giving way to either suburban (yay - Roseville CA is a lovely suburban option) or rural life (less congested which includes places like Penn Valley, Forest Falls and more in Placer County). The fascination with an open floor plan seems to be fading … Continue reading...

Is Your Dream Home a New or Resale Home?

Buy resale home versus Buy new construction homes for sale

Should You Buy a New or Resale Home? Got the “Just Moved Into A New House” Thermostat Woes?

Every thermostat is different in Roseville CA and beyond via Kaye Swain real estate agent

Thermostats. We love them but often we also hate them. Every thermostat is different! And it seems like each has their own tricks and treats for us, don't they? I had one thermostat that I was never able to make any changes to the original owner's programming. So every day, twice a day, I had to set the thermostat for where we wanted it through the day, and through the night. Otherwise it popped back up to their 85 day and night! Oyyyy! Another one was so irritating! It just didn't react if the thermostat was set for 75-77. So we either had to be at 73 or 78. Even the brand new ones can … Continue reading...
