Looking for Relocating Tips to Roseville CA or From It?
When working with new clients who are relocating – either to our neck of the woods in the Roseville Sacramento area OR out of our area to another state such as Texas or Tennessee, they usually want to ask me for relocating tips including learning all about the area – what's the weather like, what is the crime rate like, how are the schools, etc.
I can answer the first and the last of those two questions. However, due to some people making poor choices, the Fair Housing department had to step in and set up rules that stop those poorly educated agents, and indeed, all agents from steering buyers in one direction or another – whether purposely or accidentally.
Of course, you can do your own research and there are many excellent sites to help you with that.
Relocation Tips for Weather Questions
While looking for snow records for two different cities, I discovered that an old fave, whose forum I appreciated for getting questions answered, also has pages for pretty much every city where they have collected info such as weather patterns over the year, etc. that can be a big help for homebuyers looking to relocate (or maybe stay put – depending on what they find out).
City Data has a great forum that I love to search when researching a new area. I used it myself when I was moving around to help grandkids. But I only recently discovered (or maybe re-discovered – I find so many great resources it's hard to keep track at times 😉) its area pages. Just type in a city state AND city-data. Generally – the first website that pops is probably the one you want. For example:
Here Are Tips for Searches If You Are Relocating
Orlando Florida is a fun place complete with Disneyland. So if clients of mine wanted to move there and needed to research the area, they could type in:
Orlando fl AND city-data
You would then probably see a google page that starts off looking a bit like this:
If you click on the first option, you will find a huge page with lots of info including fun things like tourist attractions like these (for this area, this is a SMALL part of a LONG list):
You'll also find weather info for the year, like this:
Is anyone shocked to see NO SNOW listed at all for Florida? Not surprisingly, the Roseville page has a MUCH shorter list of attractions. BUT the snow line is also flat for Roseville CA – hooray! (Although my grandkids might beg to differ on that sentiment. 😁)
