Many Love Living In Roseville CA!
I love living in Roseville CA. And I love helping my real estate clients purchase and sell their homes in Roseville and our surrounding area of Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville, Citrus Heights, and even further š. And I LOVE getting to show off our area when the opportunity arises!Ā And here is one of those opportunities!
The Sacramento Bee reports that “Roseville ranks second in the nation for one-way rentals of U-Haul trucks in 2022.”Ā The article is referring to rentals FROM other cities TO Roseville and this is, indeed, a lovely sign of continued growth for Placer Countyās largest city. According to the annual U-Haul Growth Index, ādo it yourself moversā pushed the city up from the number eight spot the year before. It is the only California city to make the list!” AWESOME!
Sacramento International Airport Is Getting UPDATES!
WOW! I personally think our Sacramento airport already looks gorgeous! Well, then again, I'm referring to Terminal B, which is where Southwest flights take off. Southwest is my go-to airline almost always!Ā However, I'm not complaining in the least about the planned updates to come. They include a NEW PARKING GARAGE which we DEFINITELY need. Another great addition is a rental car location that you can WALK to and not have to deal with luggage on a bus! My friends, family, and long-distance real estate clients will be THRILLED! And the new walkway is apparently a necessity due to ADA requirements. It hints at new restaurants and I hope that includes a couple outside the security again, like we used to have before Covid. It's great for those of us waiting to pick up friends, family, and clients and I really miss the ones that used to be there! (Do you get the idea I spend quite a bit of time at the airport sometimes! š) And I saw a comment from one of the articles I read, saying they would love their own Spider Bunny at the A Terminal. I don't blame them. My grandkids and I all love the Spider Bunny too! š
They aren't starting til 2024 and it will take about five years!Ā I definitely hope they do a better job at minimizing hassles for exhausted and/or running passengers than an older airport I recently went through did! Time will tell!Ā Click here for an article from the Sacramento Bee with more info and pictures. I think it will work, even if you don't subscribe.
Also, here's a YouTube video from Sacramento's Fox 40 channel:
Definitely good news AND great for all those people flying to Roseville to see if they want to rent a Uhaul to move here! š

Bankrate.com Update
Due to complications with my schedule this weekend (translation: I was a bit SWAMPED š), I used Friday, 2/3/23, interest rates from Bankrate.com for this post. Which I'm kind of glad to do anyway, since the Fed JUST raised their rates again, though this time only a quarter of a percent!Ā Let's see what that has done SO FAR…

WOWWWWW! Color me shocked! The Fed went up and interest rates went down! BUT…now I'm DOUBLY curious what NEXT week's will be! Stay tuned…
Bottom Line
The interest rates are doing a bit better for now, prices are coming down, and spring fever has sprung early in the hearts of many interested in buying! Open houses are getting a LOT more visitors from people who are ready to buy, move in and love living in Roseville CA.
That being said, you may have noticed I added in some extra stats for Roseville, Sun City Roseville, and Placer County (If you'd like anything else included, just let me know and depending on client work, I'll do my best. š) I notice, just ROUGHLY, Roseville and Placer County had half as many homes that sold in January with days on market almost doubling. Sun City Roseville was a bit ahead of the curve in less houses in January but much higher % of CDOM. Interesting. But, of course, I would expect January to be much slower. I'll check this again in a month. IF it follows the norm, we should start seeing the numbers going up – and I'm hoping we will. But only time will tell.Ā š But the bright spot in real estate is that, for the most part, your house equity is STILL better than if the covid issues hadn't happened, thanks to all the ramping up and multiple offers. So now is still a good time for you to sell, especially if you are thinking of downsizing.
And if you are thinking of downsizing and maybe getting rid of those stairs, or perhaps moving closer to family, or you are thinking of one of our awesome 55+ communities, give me a call and let's discuss it. 916-768-0127 or email me at KayeSwainRE@gmail.com – I'd love to help you with your real estate questions!
