It was a gorgeous day in the heart of spring in and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in a lovely open house in the Racquet Club Estates. This home was huge and loaded to the gills with great treats for its future home owner(s).
As you walk in the door, you are greeted by a lovely tile entry. To your left, is a formal living and dining room. The views from the front bay window and back french doors are so pretty with flowers and trees galore. If you step out on the back deck and look right, you can see the built-in BBQ and hot tub. At the back of the huge yard (the property is over 1/2 acre) is a handy dandy shed.
On this main level, you can enjoy the delicious kitchen. It has granite counters along with stainless steel appliances – including a flat-top stove (always my fave!), microwave, dishwasher, and a fridge with water dispenser and, I think, an ice dispenser. I have to admit, the fridge makes me miss my own big one back in Roseville, CAÂ as my current home doesn't even have an icemaker.
When you walk through the kitchen, you can head left to pass the “mud room – 1/2 bath” and walk outside, or turn right to head downstairs, or go straight passing a wet bar on the way to a den/office. (For those of us with multigenerational families, I immediately think SECOND KITCHEN! There's enough room for a tiny fridge and microwave – perfect for my senior mom who'd pick the front bedroom right next to this sink area and spare room. This would make a great area for her with only the occasional trip upstairs for a shower to require her taking the stairs. She'd have her own bedroom, bathroom, living room, and mini kitchen. And she'd love the view from both her living room and bedroom!)
The upstairs is delightful as well, with a main bedroom that has plenty of storage, two more bedrooms and two gorgeous bathrooms, including one easily accessible shower. Very nice! And I'm not even done with this tour – there's a whole n'other floor below with a huge great room/den, 3/4 bath with another shower, a laundry room, and one more room that currently has a home gym – most of which can stay if you would like it.
If my grandkids were here, they'd be begging me to buy this lovely home. It's grand! And with my multigenerational family issues, I could easily picture turning the downstairs into a quasi-apartment for one of my beloveds, if I could ever talk them into moving here. 🙂
There's a door to the downstairs steps and a private entry into the back yard. Isn't that a handy “think outside the box” option. We would have to share the laundry but with some minor modifications, that's about all.
Of course, there are plenty of other ways you could put this lovely home to good use. I just have a tendency to picture myself in all these fun houses I get to work with. 🙂 Do you do that as well? All in all, this house is definitely a jewel shining in a neighborhood full of tall trees, lovely flowers, large lots, and cheerful chirping birds.
That house is off the market now but there are many other lovely ones available in our neck of the woods. Remember, “Call Kaye” at 657-229-5293, email me at Kaye@KayeSwain.com or click on the blue house to check them out. 🙂
