Bottom Line
Things seem to be staying pretty stable for the past few weeks, since the last fed rate increase. But a new one is coming. According to Reuters, “Federal Reserve officials on Friday ended their public comment period ahead of the U.S. central bank's Sept. 20-21 policy meeting with strong calls for another oversized interest rate increase to battle high inflation.”
If we see an interest rate hike this month, we are likely to see these numbers adjust to it. For my buyers, I am hoping for some great prices to help them break into a market that is just beyond their grasp! And buyers, you might also want to take a look at brand new construction homes for sale in our area. I got an email yesterday from a local new home builder's agent – they just had a huge $100,000 price reduction – putting their price range at $570,000-$665,000. Sellers! I can assure you, houses ARE still selling! Two of my clients just closed on a lovely home in Sun City Roseville and are very thrilled. They got a much better price than if they'd bought 3 months ago BUT the sellers got a good price as well. And you should have seen their eyes sparkle as they enjoyed their walk through at the end – one thing that they especially loved was the delightful backyard and the blooming red pepper plant! (Yup, she definitely loves gardening! 😀). A win win for all – always my goal! Always the goal of my real estate company! 😀
