Retirement-friendly Median Price
I looked up all the homes sold in 2023 in Roseville, Rocklin, and Lincoln CA that ranged from 2-3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (which would include the occasional 1/2 bath), .09 – .25 acre lot, built in 1990 or newer. With that search, the median price is $590,000 (which is quite different and much more “retirement friendly” than the Placer County Market “Snapshot” median price of $768,000 further down this article. While we also have a significant inventory of much larger homes in our city and county, which are ideal for multi-generational living—a growing trend among retirees—the focus remains on smaller, more manageable homes for those looking to downsize.
Interestingly – when you search for those smaller homes but exclude senior communities, there are only nine homes that meet these criteria.
