In case you are thinking of relocating here from another area and wondering what the weather is like in Roseville CA in the winter, here's a video I took on December 16, 2022 in Sun City Roseville. It was about 8 am and I was headed to the Safeway grocery store that's about 2 miles away.
On the way there, I HAD to stop and take this video – it was soooo chilly and soooo pretty.
Winter starts in 3 days and it has been a bit cold lately because of that. This morning it was 30 degrees and hit a high of 45. That morning it was about 22 degrees but hit a high of 52. If you can see it, there is frost on the golf course. But generally speaking, that is as close to snow as we get down here in the greater Sacramento Valley area. If you'd like more specifics about our Roseville area weather, including dates when there really was actual snow, just visit my post, Wondering About the Winter Weather in Roseville CA.” 😀
AND if you are wondering about the stores close to Sun City Roseville – Here's a VERY rough map showing Sun City (inside the gold line) The Club (inside the thick blue line under Festersen Park), Silverado Homes at Eskaton Village (inside the blue squares), Raley's O-N-E Market Center, Safeway Market Center and Raley's Market Center (inside the 3 sets of hearts) – all of which have at least one place to get a bite to eat, and Safeway has Nugget Market Center across the street AND Safeway has a gas station. As you can see, there are plenty of nearby choices to pick from very close (within about 2 miles each) to 3 of our 5 great 55+ retirement communities. And still pretty close to the other two communities. 😀

Bankrate.com Update
Interesting! Early in the week, I listened to various news reports saying the interest rate is down some. But then the Fed met and increased THEIR rate. And as you can see by today's (above) compared to last week's (below), the interest rates are heading back up again.

Bottom Line
The good news is, there are definitely houses available. Granted, some are still overpriced as many sellers are continuing to get used to this “new market” (compared to this time last year). You can see this illustrated in the Roseville market update graphic at the top of this post. But it will happen if they want to sell. Some do NOT have to sell and won't lower their prices. But others DO need to sell their homes and eventually will most likely lower their prices. AND you can also make an offer of a lower price (which would have gone NOWHERE last year, but IS going places this year.) If you ARE ready to buy, and ARE ready to start looking, I'd love to help you with your real estate needs.
